When I was little, I used to declare that my favorite color was neon.

Okay, so neon isn't exactly a color on its own, but I was seven and it made sense at the time (I was a true child of the nineties). Jump forward to 2011 and... I'm still enamored with all things acid-toned, day-glo and florescent (further evidence can soon be seen in a post about Ultra), and these bags by The Cambridge Satchel Company certainly appeal to my lifelong obsession with colors that simply do not exist in nature--Plus you can have them monogrammed. Too perfect for words.

As a university student, I spend a lot of time reading. While a do enjoy a great novel, there's just something about reading five chapters in my 736-page Contemporary Architecture textbook that is somewhat... Off-putting.

These whimsical little clutches by Olympia Le-Tan, however, completely speak to the non-academic reader in me. Steinbeck, Kerouac and Miller are among my most favorite authors and these bags would be perfect for times venturing outside of the library.

I so wish that I could be in New York this time around for the S/S '11 shows, but school takes priority. During this round of shows, STYLE.COM will be my eyes and ears.

In any case, of all of the presentations displayed today, Willow S/S '11 was a standout. I love the limited color palette, the body conscious and lingerie pieces, and the unexpected draping. It seems like Urban-Tribal is still going strong.

I discovered the strange Japanese label Juvenile Hall Roll Call while poking around Tumblr... I love the creepily beautiful bone details paired with the grungy denim, leather and plaid. Oh, and that mixed suede/studded jacked... Stunning.

According to what little information I could find, the line was started in 2002 by one Tai Irie, "a former producer at Comme des Garcons and Under Cover."

As so many of you noticed, Naturegraffiti magically disappeared for a while (No, the blog was not suspended, a la Tavi, whose suspension made absolutely no sense to me. Those photos were art, not pornography... but whatever...), a fact which can be entirely blamed on my own stupidity.

What happened was that, last year when I bought my domain name, I accidentally never signed up to be alerted when my name was about to expire. So one year later, the name expired... and was instantly bought by someone in Russia.

I thought that this would be the end of the blog. I was ready to hang up my spurs and hat, and get a real job. But after about a week and a half of negotiating with the new owner, we were able to reach an agreement and I was able to buy back my domain.

The blog is back!

Thank you so much to everyone who reached out to me during this time. Your outpouring of support was incredible, and I really cannot thank you enough for all of the e-mails and messages... You are all so inspirational--Thank you!

I'm so sorry about the recent lack of posting! Even though I already know where I'm going to college next year, I've still been doing schoolwork like a crazy person. The next morning, we went to the Adam show in the tents.

... I loved the braids.

The knits (especially those scarves!) were my personal favourites.

The tents were packed... it made for great people watching.

One the way to the Chictopia event we first got epicly lost, then epically sidetracked, in NoHo, and never made it to the actual Summit.

Despite our earlier ADD, we did make it to the Chictopia party, later that night at the Tribeca Grand. There were a lot of familiar faces including Izzy from The Dandy Project, who, bizarrely enough, recently moved from Manila to my own little city of Boston.

Our last show was Herve on Sunday morning.

My lame photography really doesn't capture it, but the details (beading, weaving, studs) in this collection were incredible.

I really, really, really need to get my act together and post the photos/reports on NYFW -I've been home for a week! I promise, I'll get off my butt as soon as possible... It was such an amazing trip.

In the meantime, I thought I'd post these videos that have been popping up on a few music blogs.

Since Decemeber, the mysterious iamamiwhoami has released four, beautifully shot, apparently high-budget videos.

There has been endless debate about who is behind these pieces, and what exactly they are for. Personally, I think that either it's either the Knife or Lady Gaga, but my guess is as good as anyone's. You can watch the first clip below:
